With many years of care at some of the NHS’s flagship institutions, King’s College Hospital, and University Hospital London, Michael gained knowledge across a myriad of specialties, from intensive care to neurosurgery to orthopaedics to paediatrics, ensuring every patient’s unique needs were met with precision and dedication. Alongside this he has led the physiotherapy department at the biggest Australian football club in the UK, the Wandsworth Demons, as well as being the lead physiotherapist for the top basketball academy in the UK, City of London Academy.
Proven Athletic Leadership & Coaching Credentials
In the realm of sports, Michael’s acumen shines brightly and he isn’t just about textbooks and theory. He’s been in the trenches, serving as the Head Basketball Coach for King’s College London over five formidable years. Following a pivotal year at UCL, Michael rapidly ascended the basketball echelons. With roles as Assistant Coach with the London City Royals in the British BBL, and later with GB’s M40+ and England U16 teams in international championships, Michael’s pinnacle came as Head Coach for GB M55+ at the World Championships in Argentina, in 2023 — fitting to be able to combine his coaching expertise, leadership, and awareness of health care to provide a platform for success at the most senior performance national team age group.
